Spring Makeup 2015

April 6, 2015

Spring is literally upon us and so are the makeup trends for the long awaited season. While the bold lip continues to take center stage (thank you fashion Jesus!), 70’s Boho-chic inspired smoky eyes and minimalism, are also predominant trends as seen on the runway of some of my peronal favorites – including Jason Wu and Diane von Furstenberg.

L'Oréal Paris brand ambassador Claudia Betancur shares with us some awesome makeup tricks and tips to look fabulous and on-trend all 92 days of the spring.

70’s Inspired Smokey Eye

Create the re-imagined sultry ‘70s inspired smoky eye seen at Chanel, Diane von Furstenberg and Sonia Rykiel with both mass and prestige beauty options.

“If you want to intensify your smoky eye, apply a black eye liner as a base, preferably with a fat, Crayola-type tip. Smudge the pencil all over the lid. Once complete, add the eye shadow and blend” says Claudia.

To achieve this look Claudia suggests using:

L’Oréal Paris Infallible Smokissime Powder Eyeliner Pen

Circa Beauty Color Saturated Eye Crayon

Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow – New Shades

High Impact Lips

Pucker up to supersaturated, bold, bright lips strutted at Dolce & Gabbana, Missoni and Zac Posen with the below lip essentials in a range of seasonal, fun, and flirty shades.

“The lip of the season is rich, supersaturated, and soft around the edges and pressed on with a fingertip. Use a lip stain or a sheer lipstick. I dab the color onto my index finger and gently dab the lips, spreading the color with my pinky. This gives you a soft flushed look” Claudia adds.

To achieve this look Claudia recommends using:

Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick

Circa Beauty Color Treatment Tinted Lip Butter

L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Last Color

Three words for spring… LESS is MORE. The “no-makeup makeup” trend remains strong, as seen at Marc Jacobs and Jason Wu, and achieving a flawless complexion has never been easier with the below radiance-boosting skincare and cosmetic products.

“If you have any blemishes or dark circles around the eyes, be sure to disguise those areas with a concealer and let them stay undercover. It’s what I call my ‘magic eraser’” recommends Claudia.

To achieve this look Claudia suggests using:

L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Miracle Blur Instant Skin Smoother Finishing Cream (SPF 30)

Urban Decay NAKED Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer

Urban Decay NAKED Skin Ultra Definition Powder Foundation

L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Spray and Set Makeup Extender Spray
